MANILA, Philippines – Mexican boxers Jorge “El Feroz” Pazos and Angel “Arcangel” Martinez promised to put on spectacular performances when they fight separate foes in Pinoy Pride XV on August 18 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.

Pazos will take on unbeaten boxer Genesis “Azukal” Servania for the WBO Asia-Pacific super bantamweight title, while Martinez will fight Jimrex Jaca.

“I trained for two-and-a-half months. I have seen videos of Jaca,” said Martinez in a PhilBoxing interview. “My strategy is to fight from a distance and wait for my chance to hit hard.”

Martinez said he will also learn from the fight as “Jaca is a good boxer and a southpaw.”

Meanwhile, Pazos said his fight against Servania will be “a battle between two promising fighters.”

“I have seen this Servania fight. He is a good fighter, very strong and very fast,” Pazos said. “This will be a spectacular fight, the most important fight of my career.”

Jesus Edmundo Gaytan, the boxers’ manager, also assured that the fights will be competitive.

“Our two boxers have a bright future and they trained hard,” he said. “We will give fans a spectacular fight.”
