WBO welterweight champion Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley, who stirred a storm of protests following  his controversial split decision win over Manny Pacquiao last June 6, is expected to be too good for Pacquiao’s rugged Russian sparring partner Ruslan Provodnikov when they clash at the Home Depot Center in Carson City, California on March 16.

Later today a press conference will be hosted by Top Rank promoter Bob Arum and Banner Promotions at the Millenium Biltmore in Los Angeles. Bradley’s manager Cameron Dunkin who also manages WBO super bantamweight champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire  told BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard he believes Bradley “is too fast, too smart and too skilled” for Providnikov.

However, Dunkin conceded that Providnikov “is strong and is tough, can really punch and he’s going to really bring the fight” to the undefeated Bradley.

The 29 year old Provodnikov has only lost once with a total of 22 wins, 15 by knockout while Bradley is undefeated with an impressive record of 29-0 with 12 knockouts.

Bradley who is also 29, won the WBC light welterweight title with a twelve round split decision win over Junior Witter on May 10, 2008 and then added the WBO title with a unanimous decision over twelve rounds against Kenbdall Holt on April 4, 2009 before he moved up in weight to face Pacquiao and won the WBO welterweight crown in a controversial decision.
