Ola Afolabi

Ola Afolabi is a US-baseb British Jr. Heavyweight boxer. He continues to tear through the professional ranks since debuting as a light-heavyweight in 2002. He was born in London, England to Nigerian parents. Also known as “kryptonite,” the name perfectly fits Ola as he spoiled the plans of many world contenders and former world champions defeating them in their hometown.

His notable wins include victories over James Walton, former Cruiserweight champ Orlin Norris, and Deleon Tinsley on ESPN’s Friday Night Fights. The win that put him into the limelight was when he knocked out undefeated highly touted Eric Fields on ESPN. He then travelled to Manchester, England as a heavy underdog to knockout former World Champion Enzo Maccarinelli to win the Interim WBO Cruiserweight title.  With the win, he earned a title shot against WBO World Champion Marco Huck.

Now signed with K2 Promotions, Ola believes K2 will give him the fights he deserves keeping him busy on his way to becoming the Undisputed Cruiserweight World Champ. Ola is currently working with Fritz Sdunek, Klitschko’s trainer.  While holding training camps in Austria and a new training regiment, the boxer/puncher is looking forward to showing his skills in the ring and is willing to fight anyone in the Cruiserweight division. Since signing with K2, he won the WBO intercontinental Championship, defeating Lubos Suda (23-4) and is currently the interim WBO Jr. Heavyweight champion
