President of the WBO, Francisco “Paco” Valcarcel, met this Wednesday, July 18, with boxing representatives in Panama, and held a press conference ahead of the WBO 31st Convention that will be held in this country.

Panama will host the 31st Convention of the WBO scheduled to take place October 29th through November 2nd at the Hotel El Panama Convention Center & Casino.

Valcarcel expressed his satisfaction of having the annual gathering of the boxing organization in Panama, a country that is not only beautiful but has a great boxing tradition, and also a convenient location and a large number of airlines connecting it to the rest of the world.

The WBO President also revealed that the event will have the presence of former and current world champions such as Wladimir Klitschko, Marco Antonio Barrera and Miguel Angel Cotto.
