WBO ANNOUNCES REFEREE AND JUDGES FOR THIS SATURDAY, INTERIM WORLD TITLE BOUT BETWEEN BRANDON RIOS AND MIKE ALVARADO

SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO- World Boxing Organization (WBO), by president Francisco “Paco” Valcarcel, announced today the referee and judges who will work this Saturday, March 30, in the interim world title bout between junior welters Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios and Mike “Mile High” Alvarado at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, in a Top Rank presentation.

For this interim WBO junior welter bout between Rios (31-0, 23 KOs), the first ranked and the WBO Latino 140 pounds champion, against the second ranked Alvarado (33-1, 21 KOs), the referee will be Tony Weeks.

Meanwhile, the judges for the Rios-Alvarado rematch are Dave Moretti, Duane Ford and William Lerch. The WBO supervisor for this fight will be Luis Perez, the Chairmen of the WBO Ratings Committee.

This is the second time Rios and Alvarado will meet. The first time these fighters faced in a great bout that was one of the favorites for the Fight of the Year in 2012. The WBO junior welterweight champion is the Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez.
