Orlando “Siri” Salido trains in Puerto Rico

Orlando “Siri” Salido, the WBO junior lightweight champion trained today for the media in Puerto Rico four days before his fight against former world champion Roman “Rocky” Martinez on “The War”, that will take place on Saturday, April 11, at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in a presentation of PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP) in association with Promociones Zanfer, and broadcast on “Pay Per View” in Puerto Rico, United States and Canada for all Cable TV and Satellite systems.

Salido (42-12-2, 29 KOs) did a light workout at the Felix Pagan Pintor Gym in Guaynabo saying that “I’m training these days to maintain the weight. I’m comfortable with the training camp for the fight, just waiting for Saturday.” 

In the co-main event, world ranked Jose “Chelo” Gonzalez (23-1, 18 KOs) will defend his WBO Latino lightweight title against Mexican Marvin “Cachorro” Quintero (26-5, 22 KOs) to 10 rounds.

World flyweight contender McWilliams Arroyo (15-2, 13 KOs) will face Mexican Ismael “Sapito” Garnica (13-6-1, 5 KOs) in a 10 round scheduled bout in the flyweight division.

In another 10-rounder, Cuban Yoandris “El Niño” Salinas (20-1-2, 13 KOs) will face Mexican Martin Ricardo Alvarado (7-4, 6 KOs) in a super bantamweight clash.

In a six round bouts, unbeaten John Karl Sosa (12-0, 6 KOs), will face an opponent to be confirmed in a six round junior welterweight fight; New Yorker Zachary “Zungry” Ochoa (10-0, 5 KOs) will fight at junior welterweight against Moises Rios (5-2, 4 KOs), and American Ryan Martin (11-0, 6 KOs) will face Miguel “Mikito” Soto (12-5, 12 KOs) at lightweight.

Two four round fights complete the undercard when Jose “Chino” Lopez (3-0, 2 KOs) faces Ray Rivera (1-3-1) in the lightweight division and Roy Mendez (1-0) will take on an opponent to be announced at junior flyweight.
